Before I became a writer, I was a combat correspondent, an actor, director, and builder. I was born in Washington, D.C. and graduated from the University of Maryland with a dual degree in theatre and governments, an apt combination. Then I ran a theatre in Savannah, Georgia, a beautiful city. I’m married and have a son.
As a soldier, I followed in my father’s footsteps. He was in the Army Air Corps in World War II. Four of my uncles served in the war, including one who fought in the infantry in the Battle of the Bulge. From these men, my own experiences, and much research, I developed a strong interest in writing about that conflict. Even today there are many articles, news stories, TV and movies, and books still being produced about the war.
